Donald Wayne Tudor

Donald Wayne Tudor of Uvalde passed away on April 16, 2012 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Funeral services will be held at Stephenville Funeral Home on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM with burial following in West End Cemetery, Stephenville, TX. Visitation will be held at Stephenville Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 3:00-7:00 pm. Donald was born on December 9, 1927 in Stephenville to Sol Ross and Bergie (Mobley) Tudor. He married Annie Mae McCann in Stephenville on May 11, 1955. Wayne served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a control tower operator after serving 8-1/2 years in the service. He then became a truck driver, working for several different companies. He served as Commander of American Legion Post #26 and Commander of VFW #4135 in Uvalde. He worked for the Salvation Army and the Red Cross. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville in his earlier years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years,Annie Mae; children, Steve A. Morgan of Uvalde; Leonard Ross Tudor and wife, Sally of Houston; Anita Spurgeon and husband, Cary of Uvalde; and Don Tudor and wife, Tina of Pasadena; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Frankie Tudor Shields of California and Dolores Tudor of Montana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leonard Tudor, Raymond Tudor and wife Louise; sister, Corinne Tudor Williams and husband Kearney.
