Donald Ray Nicholson Jr.

Donald Ray Nicholson, Jr., 53, of Fort Worth, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, at Clairette Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Donald was born on June 19, 1957 in Fort Worth to Donald Ray Nicholson, Sr. and Avalon Mayfield Whitfield. He was a member of the Baptist Church, and had lived most of his life in DFW metroplex. Donald was an avid fisherman, and a staunch supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a mechanical foreman for Ski High Enterprises. Survivors include a family he loved very much, his son, Nicholas and wife Jessica Nicholson of Pittsburg, Kansas; grandchildren, Ethan Ray and Ian Maguire Nicholson; mother, Avalon Whitfield of Stephenville; sisters, Valarie and husband Scott King of Cedar Hill, Billie Jo and husband Ryan Jezierski of Keller, and Jennifer and husband Eddie DeCurtis of North Richland Hills; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Nicholson, Sr.; and by two brothers, Ricky Joe and Timothy Lynn Nicholson. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Assn., or American Heart Assn.
