Don "Cuz" Carr

Don ‘Cuz' Carr, 77, of Stephenville, died Monday, December 02, 2013 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday at Desdemona Cemetery in Desdemona with James Morrow officiating. Visitation will begin on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Don was born on October 5, 1936 in Gorman to the late Henry Ewell and Velma E. Melton Carr. He married Sylvia Jo Skiles, June of 1956 in Kermit. She preceded him in death on October 1985. Don was in the pipeline construction business, owning Don Carr Construction Company for over 25 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for several years. Don lived most of his life in the Eastland and Erath County areas, living in Stephenville since 1979. Don is survived by his children, Mike Carr of the Woodlands, Mendy and husband Jerry Boles of Stephenville, and Marty and wife Kristie Carr of Poolville; grandchildren, Ashley Martin, Brandi Boles, Justin Boles, and Amber Carr; great grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Case; brother, Keith Carr of Granbury; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents and wife, Don was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Morrow.
