Deloris Green

Deloris Green, 77, formerly of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Lamesa. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bill McKee officiating, assisted by Dwayne Lamberson. Interment will follow at the Hightower Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Stephenville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Deloris was born on April 18, 1930 in Shannon, Texas to the late U. W. and Dicy Smith McKnight. She married D. C. Green on December 28, 1945 in Glen Rose. He preceded her in death October 8, 1973. Deloris was a Baptist and a grocery clerk. She had lived in Lamesa since 1999. Deloris is survived by her daughter, Linda Smith of Lamesa; sons Brad Green and Don Green, both of Stephenville; sisters Wilma Turner of Wichita Falls, Minnie Belle Sechrist of Palmer and Gracie Watson of Ava, MO and brother Clayton McKnight of Dallas; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
