Delbert Ray Jackson, 84, passed away on April 23, 2019 in Stephenville, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Stephenville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville, Texas with Werth Mayes officiating.
Delbert Ray Jackson was born on May 30, 1934 in Olin, Texas to the late Clydie Jackson and Viva Stone Jackson. He married the love of his life, Jean Neff on November 24, 1957 in Idalou, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and was a rancher and farmer. Delbert and Jean owned and operated the Jackson Superette in Hico, Texas for many years. He was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Jean Jackson; son Craig Jackson and wife Janet; daughter Sheila Jackson; grandchildren, Brooks Jackson, Meagan Pruett, Ryan Jackson, Emily Spivey, and Trevor Spivey; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Pruett, Maggie Mae Pruett, and Jayden Thomas; and sisters, Rita Knight and husband Joe, and Kay Arendt and husband Chas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clydie and Viva Jackson.
