David Owen Pack

David Owen Pack, 88, of Tolar, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024 at Oak Dale Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, Oct. 28, 2024 at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

David was born on April 23, 1936 in Stephenville to the late J.C. and Thelma Mayhar Pack. He graduated from Huckabay High School and served in the U.S. Army. David married the love of his life, Janice Anderson on February 11, 1956 in Huckabay and together raised two children.

David owned and operated a dairy, as well as working as the Manager for Wolf Nursery for many years and as safety for Brown and Root.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Janice Pack of Tolar; children, Carl Pack of Oregon, and Mary Pettit of Hamilton; grandchildren, Jamie Pack, Zach Pack, Kody Pack, Stormie Pack, Brittany Miles, and Blake Pettit; great-grandchildren, Rosie, Stetson, Woody, and Marley; his siblings, JoAnn Chandler, Patsy Gray, Deanna Reid, Larry Pack, Lonnie Pack, Peggy Fron, and Brenda England.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Thelma Pack; as well as siblings, James Pack, Barbara Perkins, and Fay Shipp.
