David Golliday

David Golliday, 60, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Temple. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Wells officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. David was born on July 16, 1951 in Lampasas to the late S.F. and Midge O'Hair Golliday. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong resident of Stephenville. David spent most of his life laying pipeline for the petroleum industry, and has spent the last five years installing flooring. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. David is survived by his sons, Shep Golliday of Glen Rose, and Chad Edwards of Fort Worth; sister, Nettie Davis-Geistweidt of Glen Rose; brother, John Golliday of Big Lake; he is also survived by his grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
