Darlene Dowell Murray

Darlene Dowell Murray, 64, of Stephenville, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 17th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Darlene was born on March 3, 1948 in Glen Rose to the late Basil Matthew and Ora Belle Greer Dowell. She worked several years as a secretary with Dowell Well Service, and had lived most of her life in Erath County. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Denise and husband Pancho Underwood of Decatur, and Michelle and husband Jimmy Quinn of Brownwood; brothers, Carlos Dowell of Redding, CA, Donald Dowell of Stephenville, and Jarrell Dowell of Stephenville; sister, Glenda Gillaspie of Alvarado; grandchildren, Tiffany McCormick of Brady, Austen Bradley of Ohio, Gage McCormick of Sand Springs, OK, Morgan Bradley of Burleson, Thane Quinn of Brownwood, and Kinley Quinn Brownwood; and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by a son, Shane Bradley; four brothers, Hoyet, Foy, Joe, and Harold Dowell; and by two sisters, Dorothy Parker and Eddie B. Robbins.
