Daphne Snodgrass Caudle

Daphne Snodgrass Caudle, 88, of Strawn, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 28th at First Baptist Church in Strawn. Burial will follow at Merriman Cemetery in Eastland County. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Daphne was born on July 26, 1926 in Carbon, Texas to the late George William and Mattie Daisy Jackson Snodgrass. She married Harold Caudle on April 11, 1954 in Desdemona. Daphne was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Strawn, and had lived in Palo Pinto County most of her life. She was a homemaker. Daphne is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Edward Caudle of Strawn, Mavirda and husband Bert Lepel of Sidney, Montana, Nita and husband Skipper Bennett of Mineral Wells, Johnny Caudle of Mingus, and Jerry Caudle of Strawn; grandchildren, Courtney and husband Wendell Barker, Jr, Seth and wife Dana Caudle, Amy and husband Bruce Sherley, Brittany Caudle, Craig and wife Andrea Caudle, Ashley and husband Dusty Billings, Justin Caudle, Nathan and wife Katelyn Bennett, Shea Caudle and his fiancé Stefanie, Bethany Bennett, and Johanna Lepel; great grandchildren, Caeden, Caysen, Rayleigh, Camden, Maci, Kolter, Paisley, Anna, and Lorena; sister, Sarah Tucker of Cisco; Sister-in-law, Irene Snodgrass of Sequim, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Daphne was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Lepel; and brothers, Billy C., Burl, and Jimmy Snodgrass.
