Danny Ray Glossup, 66, passed away too soon on March 3, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, after a sudden and aggressive battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and children in his final moments. He was born on August 23, 1958, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
After finishing high school, Danny married the love of his life, Karen Frierson Glossup, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and meaningful connections. He lived in Sulphur Springs for several years before settling in Stephenville, Texas, where he spent the past 25 years building a life filled with family, friendships, and community.
Danny worked for many years as a field representative in the dairy industry, where he not only found a career he loved but also formed lifelong friendships. Whether he was talking with dairymen, co-workers, or friends, Danny had a way of making everyone feel welcome and respected.
Danny was a man of faith, strong values, kindness, and unwavering determination—he never gave up on anything or anyone. He was full of life, always ready to share a story, take a ride on his motorcycle, or simply enjoy time with his family. He loved deeply and lived each day with gratitude.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Karen Glossup, his children, Kristi Dowell and her husband, Bradley; Derek Glossup and his wife, Jennifer; Kenzie Carpenter and her husband, James; and Danton Glossup. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, whom he adored: Kade and Brinley Dowell, Kale, Korbin, Kaylor, and Kallyn Carpenter. He is also survived by his parents, Doyle Ray and Hazel Glossup, and his siblings, Elaine Boyd and Marty Glossup.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10 AM at Stephenville Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Danny’s honor to Donate Life America (DonateLife.net) to support organ donation awareness—a cause that reflects his generous and giving spirit.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye, but “see you later.” Danny’s legacy of love, fairness, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
