Danny Gene Decker July 25, 1958-September 19, 2015 Danny Gene Decker, 57, went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2015 in Lingleville, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Stephenville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Interment will follow at Lower Greens Creek Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Danny Gene Decker was born on July 25, 1958 in Dublin, Texas to the late Royce Dale and Barbara Anne Decker. He was a devoted father to his three children and loving PeePaw to his grandchildren. Danny worked at Texas Health Resources of Stephenville for over 26 years as the Director of Engineering. When he was not working at the hospital, he spent his time doing custom farming, raising cattle, and "honey-do" jobs for his sweetheart of several years, Teresa. He loved to travel and spent much of his time with Teresa, his children, his grandchildren, and his close friends, the Tannahills. Danny was always busy, mostly going out of his way to be there for the people closest to him. He was a laidback, easy going guy whose motto was "Don't sweat the small stuff." He is survived by his sons, Daniel Gene Decker and his wife Katie of Abilene, and Andy Lee Decker of Stephenville; daughter, EmilyAnne Elizabeth Decker of Stephenville; Teresa of Stephenville; Jefferey and Trina Barlow of Alvarado; grandchildren, Duke, Adyline, Easton, Kanyon, and Blayke; a brother, Randy Decker; and his sisters, Sandra Jokel and Jana Saucedo.
