Dan Turner Jr.

Dan Turner, Jr. 70, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Dan's wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service will be set at a later date. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. He was born on March 12, 1943 in Stephenville, to Dan Turner, Sr., and Vivian Gunn Turner. A lifelong football fan, he was an All Star Player at Ysleta High School, and with The University of Texas Longhorns. He later scrimmaged with the Dallas Cowboys. In later years, he worked as a master industrial electrician in Houston. Dan is survived by his daughter, Roberta (Robbi) Vivian Turner of Stephenville; son, Kent Christopher (K.C.) Turner of Houston; sister, Doogie Wilson; brother, Lane Turner; and his uncle, Vernon Gunn, all of Stephenville. The Turner family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
