Dale Jefferies, 79, died Monday, September 2, 2019 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 6th at Harvey Baptist Church with Anthony Svajda and Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Dale was born on May 27, 1940 in Stephenville to the late C. J. and Dura Lucille Holder Jefferies. He grew up in Patillo, and attended public school in Santo, and was in the graduating class of 1958 from Santo High School. Dale married Gaynell Privitt on February 20, 1965 in Lipan. Dale served in the U. S. Army, and was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. After Dale graduated from high school he began his career with Ford dealerships from Mineral Wells to Stephenville. He was co-ower of Wayne Blue Ford and then continued work as in the parts department at Texstar Ford. Dale's love of cars and especially Mustangs was legendary. He loved to show off his Mustangs at car shows and drag races.
Dale always had a kind word for those he met. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
Dale is survived by his wife, Gaynell; daughters, Suzanne Jefferies and Lori Jefferies; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.
Besides his parents, Dale was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Jefferies ; and a sister, Murl Dean Gaines.
The Jefferies family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association.
