Cristi L. Brock Mclendon

Cristi Lou Brock McLendon, 60, of Huckabay, died Friday, July 31, 2015 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 4th at Huckabay Cemetery with Gary Williams officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Cristi Lou Brock McLendon was born on December 26, 1954 to Dennis Brock and Lois Heffley Brock. She was the first girl born to a Brock male in 76 years. Cristi attended Keller Elementary, and graduated from Keller High School in 1973. She attended Tarleton State University and worked her way up to assistant manager at the Safeway store in Stephenville, while working toward a degree in Agriculture Education. She married Kenneth Wayne McLendon on August 10, 1979. She was a homemaker, active in sports at Huckabay ISD, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Cristi is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. McLendon; daughter, Kendra McLendon and husband Michael Kirksey of Clyde; son, Callen and wife Tracy McLendon of Granbury, grandchildren, Maddi, Michael III, and Masen Kirksey, and one new grandbaby on the way; mother, Lois Brock of Gordon, brother, Paul and wife Cheryl Brock of Gordon; two nieces and one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Cristi was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Brock, sister, Tammy J. Brock.
