Clara Nell Jones

Clara Nell Jones, 91, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2010 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Don Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Clara was born on March 12, 1919 in Anson, Texas to the late Oscar and Mary Womack Dean. She married W.L. Jones, Jr. on June 9, 1938 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death in 1998. Clara received her BS in Education from New Mexico State University and work as a Librarian in El Paso, Texas. She was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ and of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Clara has resided in Stephenville since 1984 after previously living in El Paso. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Belding of Stephenville; grandsons, Doug Belding and wife Kim of Keller, and Scott Belding and wife Lisa of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Cade and Brady Belding of Keller, and Katie, Samantha, and Gage Belding of Stephenville; sister, Mary Joe Clendenin of Sibley, LA; nieces, Jo Ellen Miller, Kim Baker both of Stephenville, Dede Easley of Fairview, Texas, and Melissa Ramos of Floresville, TX; and nephew, Pat Clendenin, of Sibley, LA. Clara was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Ham; and brother, J. Ed Fitzgerald.
