Clara Mae Carter

Clara Mae Carter, 81, of Huckabay, died February 2, 2009 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.with Rev. Dale Cartwright officiating, burial to follow at Huckabay Cemetery. Clara was born June 28, 1927, to the late Henry Paul and Mattie Chenault Ray in Huckabay. She married Floyd A. Carter on October 7, 1945 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1995. Clara was a member of Huckabay Baptist Church, M.O.C.A., and VFW. Clara was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Erath County. Survivors include one son, Albert Ray Carter of Stephenville; one daughter, Paula Agee of Stephenville; two sisters, Gracie Anglin of Stephenville; Gladys Shelton of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
