Cipriano Martinez

Cipriano Martinez, 91, of Stephenville passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Stephenville. Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at West End Cemetery with Father Phillip McNamara officiating. Cipriano was born on October 26, 1921 in San Saba to the late Jesus Martinez and Quirina Cabral. He married Paula Maria De La Cruz on July 9, 1948 in Burnett, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2002. Cipriano worked for Wolf Nursery and Browder oil. Cipriano was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church. Cipriano is survived by 4 sons, Tino Martinez, David Martinez, Jesse Martinez and wife Mary, Domingo Martinez; 2 daughters, Adela Silva and husband Magdeleno, Dora Saijas and husband Manuel; special grandson, Anthony Martinez, 17 Grandchildren; several Great-grandchildren; many other beloved family and friends. Cipriano was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Chloe Lynn Sutten.
