Chris Sowder, Jr. May 7, 1977 ~ December 15, 2017 Chris Sowder, Jr., 40, of Stephenville, Texas passed away Friday, December 15, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville, Texas with James Fabian officiating. Chris was born on May 7, 1977 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Christopher C. Sowder and Cynthia M. Demoney Sowder. He grew up and attended school in Mesa, Arizona and has resided for the past three years in Stephenville, Texas. Chris loved his pets: he was an animal lover. He loved all movies with super heroes. Chris loved his family, especially his niece and nephew. He will be remembered by his family as very loving, and funny. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Survivors include his parents, Chris and Cindy Sowder; sister, Shayla and husband Jon Nance, niece, Nadia Nance; nephew, Jackson Nance; cousins, Jackie Jeffress and Latricia Mitchem; girlfriend, Margie Aranda and her children, Jessica Vela and family, Kimberly Davis and family, Jasmine McMillan, and Keely Woods; aunt, Margie Shumway; and uncle, Gary Mitchem.
