Charlotte Ann Mercer (Johnston) August 29, 1956 - October 18, 2017 Charlotte Ann Mercer (Johnston), 61, of Stephenville, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 23rd at Stephenville Funeral Chapel with Brother Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Charlotte was born on August 29, 1956 in Stephenville to Robert Lee, Sr. and Peggy Sue Nachtigall Johnston. She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County, and spent many years as a health care provider. She lived most of her life in Stephenville. Survivors include her daughters, Temple Holman and Stefenie Johnston; mother, Peggy Sue Johnston; grandchildren, Brent Cameron, Gabriellie Cameron, Megan Cameron, Andon Rawlings, and Ashlea Rawlings; great grandchildren, Brayden and Kyrie; brothers and sisters, Terry, Richard, Randy, and Robert Lee Johnston, Jr. (JJ), and Mackie Sue Johnston. Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Johnston, Sr.; and a son, Jeffery Glen Johnston. Charlotte was a loving and caring woman who loved serving the Lord and the people of the Lord. She never met a stranger; whether she knew you or not, she would do anything she could to help another in need. Along with her passion for the Lord and taking care of others: Charlotte loved the Cowboy Church, sharing her baking and cooking, her rose bushes, and celebrating the Holidays. Charlotte was such a positive woman who always said: "When life gets tough; put it in God's hands, He's got it covered."
