Charles Wesson Sr.

Charles Wesson, 69, of Stephenville passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Stephenville. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Harvey Baptist Church with Richmond Goolsby officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Charles was born on April 8, 1944 to William C. Wesson and Rachel Wright Lange in Stephenville. He recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to Donna Taylor Wesson, whom he married on October 5, 1963 in Robinson, TX. Charles early on was a policeman in Stephenville until he retired from policing in 1976 and went to work for the DFA (Dairy Farmers of America) and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. Charles is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Charlie Wesson Jr.; daughter, Debbie Cashell and husband Yancey; son, Scotty Wesson, mother, Rachel Lange; sister, Wanda Watson; grandchildren, Jessi Wesson McWright, Brady Wesson, Lexi Wesson, Cash Cashell, Maddi Cashell, Cody Cashell, Riley Wesson and Reece Wesson; many nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family. Charles was preceded in death by his father, William C. Wesson.
