Charles "Rusty" Deford Iii

Charles (Rusty) DeFord, III, 61, of Stephenville, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 1st at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Dittfurth and Jim Clifton officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday and Tuesday evening at Stephenville Funeral Home. Rusty was born on December 21, 1951 in Terrell, Texas to the late Charles Russell DeFord, II and Dorothy Stroman DeFord. He married Silvia Espinoza on February 13, 1992 in Stephenville. Rusty has served the past 32 year as a trooper in the commercial motor vehicle division with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church, and Texas Law Enforcement Assn. Rusty has lived in Stephenville since 1989. Survivors include his wife, Silvia; sons, Dustin Dale DeFord, Daniel Espinoza DeFord, and Charles Russell DeFord, IV all of Stephenville; daughters, Corinne King of Fort Worth and Charli White of Bluff Dale; grandchildren, Madalyn Grace White and Robert Sawyer White; brothers, Mike DeFord of Richardson, Jim DeFord of California, and Scott DeFord of Waco.
