Charlene Ann (Dowdy) Martin

Charlene Martin was called to her heavenly home on Friday, June 24th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer; which she finally won when she entered the arms of Jesus.

Celebration of life memorial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11am at Granbury Baptist Church in Granbury

She was born on June 8th, 1977 in Mineral Wells, Texas. She married Matthew Martin on August 4, 2007 and made their family home in Granbury. They were blessed by God when their son, Asa, was born and she loved being a wife and stay at home mommy. Charlene loved her family and friends and always wanted everyone to know the love of Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. Charlene would share her Christian faith anytime she could to anyone who would listen. Giving God the glory for her life was first and foremost in her daily life. Her smile was big and her laughter was contagious and she reminded people daily to “Be Happy” through good or trying times because God loved them and so did she. She enjoyed taking care of the family dog, Gideon, cat, Isaiah and tortoise, Torti.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew and son, Asa. Mother, Viola Dowdy and Father, Charles Dowdy. Sisters: Darlene Mitcham (Steve), Rita Wade (Mike), Rosa Warren (Gary), Raeleen Moughon, Cheryl Hoffman (Mike) and brother, Ernie Dowdy. In Laws, Robert and Donna Adair and Father-n-Law, Justin Martin. Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends that she loved dearly. Special other family members are the family dog, Gideon, cat, Isaiah and tortoise, Torti.
