Charleen Murray

Charleen Murray, 81, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Stephenville, Texas Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Friends are invited to the scattering of her cremains at her farm immediately following the service Charleen was born on May 12, 1934 in Harrison, Texas to the late John and Kathleen Weaver Campbell. She married Jack Murray and together they had a son Kirk. Charleen was an elementary school teacher and a homemaker. She was an expert on Texas Wildflowers and native plants. She took many school children on nature hikes through her farm. Charleen loved photographing native plants and had planned a book. She enjoyed being outside and traveling with her husband. They shared many adventures together in Big Bend National Park. Charleen was always kind and considerate of others. She had impeccable manners and was a truly genteel person. She treasured her good friends, and they will miss her. Charleen was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and her son, Kirk
