Cathy Lynn Keeney

Cathy Lynn Keeney, 72, passed away on February 24, 2024.

She was born on December 10, 1951 in Gatesville, Texas, to Henry Carter and Betty Sue (Register) Campbell. After high school she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University before working at several different banks in Stephenville including Farmers First National Bank and First Financial Bank. Cathy married Robert Keeney on October 28, 1980 in Stephenville, Texas. They had a happy life together until his passing on March 3, 2000.

Over the years Cathy enjoyed singing with her ladies group the Footsteps with Margie Hartsfield and Jo Ann Smith, singing in the Cowboy Church choir, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an active member of Cowboy Church of Erath County.  She always had a smile on her face and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Cathy is survived by her sisters Nan Campbell of Hamilton and Lisa Rosas (Jerry) of Temple, son Tres (Jill) Lockett of Lake Elmo, MN, grandchildren Kaili (Kevin) Reeves, Stella and Wyatt Lockett, great grandchildren Aubrey, Aaliyah, Jordaan and Jaxon Reeves, niece Amanda (John Ramirez) Rosas. Cathy is preceded in death by her grandparents Floyd and Stella Campbell, Shade and Bette Register, herparents Henry and Betty Sue Campbell, and husband Robert.
