Cathern Gregory Brooks, 90, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, July 1st, in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 3rd, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. Cathern was born July 6, 1917 in Colorado City, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Cathern was a homemaker, and founded Summer Sky, Inc. She has lived in Stephenville since 1956. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Burttschell of Alto, New Mexico; two sons, Edward Brooks of Fort Worth, and Tom Brooks of Stephenville; five grandchildren, Jason Brooks, Daryl Burttschell, Arnie Burttschell, Chessney Brooks, and Baylor Brooks; five great grandchildren, Skye, Hunter, Ashtyn, Aubry, and Wynston Miles Burttschell Family wishes memorials be made to First Baptist Church.
