Carolyn “Cookie” Thompson age 83 died on May 25, 2022. A visitation for Cookie Thompson will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Stephenville Funeral Home with a private burial at a later date.

Cookie was born on March 15, 1939 in Big Spring, Texas to Forris L. Sneed and Purnie Mason Sneed.  She graduated high school from Seminole, Texas and attended Howard County Jr. College and Texas Tech.

She married the love of her life, William (Bill) Thompson on August 12, 1961 in Big Spring and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2015 after 55 years of marriage.

Bill was a Colonel and pilot for the United States Air Force for 24 years, they lived on multiple bases around the United States and enjoyed a wide-spread “Air Force Family”.  After retirement in 1987, they made Stephenville their home.

Cookie is survived by a special “semi-adopted” daughter D’Anna Green of Stephenville and several cousins and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Forris and Purnie Sneed, her husband Bill Thompson, sister Darlene Eggen and brother F.L. Sneed, Jr.
