Carolyn B. (Dempsey) Allen

January 26, 1946 — May 10, 2021

Carolyn B. Dempsey Allen, 75, of Stephenville passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Fort Worth.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Stephenville with Dr. Ken May and Dick Carroll officiating.  At a later date Carolyn’s cremains will be buried at Bullock Cemetery in Eastland County, near Ranger, next to her parents and her son.  Services under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born on January 26, 1946 in Ranger to the late Levi Roy and Dora Beatrice Monroe Dempsey.  She attended public school in Ranger.  She married Ernest Allen on February 13, 1983 in Stephenville. Carolyn lived several years in Ranger and Fort Worth, and has lived the past 38 years in Stephenville.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, and worked several years at the Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ernest; daughter, Leigh Ann and husband Danny Bennett of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Meghan Dainelle Bennett of Fort Worth and Emily Nicole Bennett of Michigan; sister-in-law, Anita Dempsey of Abilene; niece, Paula and husband Lloyd Boyle of Abilene; and several cousins.

Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, David Edward Manley; and a brother, Gerald Leroy Dempsey.

The Allen family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to First Baptist Church of Stephenville, in memory of Carolyn.
