Carol Marie Griffin

Carol Marie Griffin, 66, of Stephenville, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Smith Springs Cemetery in Erath County with her family conducting the services. Visitation will be at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Carol was born on July 8, 1944 in Hamilton to J. T. and Elizabeth Marie Trammell Pointer. She married Hal Glenn Griffin on July 23, 1962 in Hamilton. He preceded her in death October 1, 1990. She was a member of the Methodist Church, a business woman, and she had lived in Stephenville since 1986. Survivors include her sons, Harley Griffin and Scott Griffin both of Paradise; mother, Marie Pointer brothers, Preston Pointer of Fort Worth, David Pointer of Hamilton, and Tom Pointer of Austin; grandsons, Ryan, Jake, Layne, and Sam Griffin Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Humane Society.
