Carl J Christian, 85, of Stephenville, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Carl was born on March 26, 1927 in Lingleville, Texas to the late Zeph George and Nellie Long Christian. He married Aruilla Ash on March 19, 1950 in Stephenville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Japan. Carl has resided in Stephenville since 1954 and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the School Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Aruilla Christian of Stephenville; sisters, Merlene Sparks and husband R.L. of Stephenville and Earlene Moore and husband Thomas of De Leon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carl was preceded in death by parents, Zeph and Nellie Christian; brothers, Garland and James Christian; and sisters, Bertha Northcutt and Opal Yardley.
