C. E. "Ferg" Ferguson

C. E. ‘Ferg' Ferguson, 91, of Stephenville passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Stephenville. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Stephenville Funeral Home with Pat and Toby Johnson officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ferg was born to the late James and Maggie Ferguson on March 2, 1922 in Stephenville. He proudly served his country in the Army Airborne during World War II in the European theatre. Ferg married Naomi Huffman on December 27, 1947 in Stephenville. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2010. Ferg retired from the Texas Highway Department after 19 years of service on May 31, 1987. After retirement he worked at Porter Seed Store in Stephenville. Ferg was a member of the Stephenville First Baptist Church, a member of Masonic Lodge #267 for over 55 Years, and a volunteer for the fire department for 23 years. Ferg is survived by one daughter Flossie Williams and husband Bobby of Granbury; 2 grandsons, Kyle King of Granbury, Terry King and wife Jami of Granbury; 4 great grandchildren, Case and Kalee King of Tolar, Mason King and Jake Hoerig of Granbury. Ferg was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Ferguson and Jesse Ray Ferguson and a sister, Leola Thornhill.
