C. L. "Buddy" Bills

C. L. ‘Buddy' Bills 73, of Stephenville died Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, December 8th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Harry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Buddy was born on March 3, 1941 in Stephenville to the late Sterling and Kathleen Nichols Bills. He married Judy Fern Glover on October 1, 1960 in Stephenville. Judy preceded him in death on September 5, 1981. On June 18, 1982, Buddy married Virginia Shook in Stephenville. Buddy was a 3rd generation florist owning and operating Stephenville Floral over 40 years. He was also a rancher, and entrepreneur. Buddy served in the National Guard, a member of the Johnsville Church of Christ, and lived most of his life in Stephenville. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Buddy is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Toby, and his wife Pam Bills of Comanche; daughter, Kay and husband Wayne Hayes of Stephenville; brother, S. R. and wife Eloise Bills of Stephenville; sister, Jackie Hankins of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Faye Phears of Stephenville; grandchildren Cody and wife Meagan Voorhies of Azle, Brooke and husband Rusty Schmidt of Grandview, Daniel Bills of Comanche, Kimberly Bills of Comanche, Jimmy and wife Kristan Hayes of San Antonio, and Amy Hayes of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Tyler, Tristin, Jacob, Kaylee, Madison, Elizabeth, Madilynn, Claire, and Annabelle; and several cousins, nephews and nieces. Buddy was also preceded in death by a son, Tommy; grandson, Cory Voorhies; sister, Frances Edwards; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Hankins.
