Brian David Rhodes, 60, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Weatherford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Springs Cemetery. Visitation for Brian will begin at 1:00 PM Monday (one hour prior to services) at Cowboy Church of Erath County. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Brian was born on August 5, 1959 in Weatherford to the late Raymon and Jo Allen Rhodes. He graduated from Stephenville High School in 1977, and attended Tarleton State University. Brian was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County, and was a lifelong resident of Erath County. He loved his family, especially his Daughter, Dakota, and he loved to meet people. Brian was a PRCA Rodeo Cowboy. He trained rodeo and roping horses.

Brian is survived by his daughter, Dakota Jo Rhodes of Stephenville; sisters, Becki Rhodes Lee and husband Doyle of Possum Kingdom, and Debbie Rhodes Ginn of McKinney; brothers, R. J. ‘Dusty' Rhodes and wife Margie of Stephenville, and Clyde Curby Rhodes of Stephenville, several nieces, nephews, and a great niece.

The Rhodes family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the fund they have set up at Dublin National Bank in Dublin, Texas for a scholarship for Brian's daughter, Dakota Rhodes
