Brian Wayne Pittman, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was surrounded by loved ones in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 14th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ben McCleery officiating. Entombment will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Wayne was born on June 23, 1935 in Dublin to the late L. D. and Mary Scott Pittman. He met the love of his life, Ruby Jean Allison, when they were in the 5th grade. Wayne graduated from Dublin High School in 1953. The two were married on February 20, 1954, and raised two daughters. Like his dad, he became a dairy, peanut, and beef cattle farmer. He was a member of Green's Creek Baptist Church where he was active in the choir, and the softball team. Wayne had a passion for writing, and performing music. He also loved wood carving, and he loved to draw.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Jean of 65 years, and two daughters, Karen Fritz and husband Marty of Stephenville, and Kaye Tolson and husband Tom of Stephenville. He also had 5 grandchildren, Traci, Lindsay, Josh, Britney, and Erin. He also had 4 great grandchildren, Harrison, Hadley, Dayton, and Kaylan.. Wayne is also survived by his sister, Wanda Pack; several nephews and one niece.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
