Bonnie Dickerson

Bonnie Dickerson, 84, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009, at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Don Parker officiating. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Bonnie was born, February 14, 1925 in Weatherford to the late Charlie and Bessie Berkley Biggs. She married Ernest Dickerson on November 16, 1945 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1993. Bonnie was a life long member of the Church of Christ, a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, member and past president of the Zonta Club, served with the Salvation Army and ended a 33 year career as Vice president with the Stephenville Bank and Trust working her way up from teller. She was devoted to her Lord, her church and her family. She spent many days visiting and calling shut-ins. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. Survivors include two sons, Terrell Dickerson and wife Valarie; David Dickerson and wife Sherry, both of Stephenvillle; daughter, Nita Stephens; grandchildren, Michael and wife Tawny; Amy and husband Josh; Cole; Bonnie; Andrea and husband Patrick; great-grandchildren, Avery and Mia; sisters, Bobbi Self and husband Marvin; Lucille Mounce. Memorials may be made to the Foster's Home for Children.
