Bonner Joe Atkins Jan. 23, 1932-Nov. 1, 2015 Bonner Joe Atkins, 83, died November 1, 2015 in Granbury. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Ward officiating. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory cemetery in Stephenville. Joe was born on January 23, 1932 to the late George D. and Ophelia Vinson Atkins in Falls County, TX. He married Erma Lou Windle on March 6, 1954 in Kansas City, Mo. Joe was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Joe proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. He has resided in Stephenville since 1967 and worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Department. He is survived by his wife Erma Lou Atkins; son, Ronald Joe Atkins and his girlfriend Irma Gonzalez of Stephenville. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Jeanette Woods.
