Bobbye Roberson

Bobbye Jean Roberson, 85, passed away September 18, 2011, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Lanny Spruill officiating. Interment will follow at Erath Garden of Memories. The family received friends on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bobbye was born January 15, 1926, in Erath County to the late Loyd and Ruby Goodson Kirklen. She married Jack Roberson on May 29, 1943, in Erath County, and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2001. Bobbye resided in Erath County all of her life and attended Lingleville Church of Christ and Lingleville Baptist Church. She worked at Mel's Cafe, Woods Manufacturing, Mitchells Department Store, and was a daycare provider. Bobbye is survived by daughter Sherry Brown and husband Herbert Brown of Lingleville; son, Tommy Roberson and wife Emily Roberson of Stephenville; son, Benny Roberson and wife Kelli Roberson of Lingleville; grandchildren, Monica Brown Fenn; Kurt Brown and wife Destiny Brown; Patti Willett and husband Danny Willett; Christi Roberson; Lori Rhodes; Brandon Roberson; Chandler Roberson; Kirby Roberson; Kelsie Attaway and husband Jonathan Attaway; Katie Roberson; and Kendra Roberson; great-grandchildren, Bailey Fenn; Kameron Brown; Delaney Brown; Shelton Stephens; Abigail Willett; Calli Willett; Rode Rhodes; Bobby Jack Cunningham; and Cayden Roberson; sister Billye Koonce. Bobbye was preceded in death by a grandson, B.J. Roberson; and 2 sisters, Helen Stone, and Bettye Terry.
