Bobbie Ruth (Jones) Hope

Bobbie Ruth Hope, 94, of Stephenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 22nd at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dick Carroll officiating.  Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Bobbie was born on December 16, 1927 in the Highland Community in Erath County to the late L. M. and Robbie Wilcoxson Jones.  She married Bill Hope on January 11, 1985.  Bill preceded her in death on June 9, 2006.  Bobbie graduated from Lingleville High School.  She went into nursing and spent nearly 40 years as an LVN with 34 ½ years of service at the Stephenville Clinic.  She was a member and served as the President of the Tri-County League of Vocational Nurses and was selected Nurse of the year in 1987.  Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Stephenville and a member of the Harvey Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles and his wife Norma Stephens of Stephenville; grandchildren, Lana and husband Mike Talton, Chad Stephens, Cody and wife Amy Stephens, Kelly and husband Mich Magin, Joe and wife Caitlin Stephens; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Jolynn, Bethany, Brooklyn, Brynn, Baylor, Justin, McCoy, Miley, and Lucy; great-great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Hazelynn, and Boston; sister, Beth Britton of Red Oak; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and husband, Bill; Bobbie was also preceded in death by a son, Roland ‘Pokey’ Stephens on October 19, 2012; and a sister, Willowdene Holamon.
