Bob Wainscott

Bob Wainscott October 10, 1938 ~ January 19, 21017 Bob Wainscott, 78, of Strawn passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at The Oak Dale, 9771 N. SH 108 Stephenville. Services are under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home Bob was born on October 10, 1938 in Paris, Tennessee to the late William and Mamie Todd Wainscott. He married LaVada Sparks on November 11, 1959 in Dora, New Mexico, and together they raised three children. Bob worked as a police officer in Stephenville and as a deputy sheriff for Erath County. He drove a milk truck for CMS for twenty years before his retirement. Bob served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Palo Pinto Cowboy Church. Survivors include his wife, LaVada Wainscott of Strawn; daughter, Tammy Wainscott Griffin of Lipan; sons, Billy Wainscott and wife Christy of Gillette, Wyoming, and Todd Wainscott and wife Jolisa of Newcastle, Wyoming; grandchildren, Rochelle Sapp, Becca Engwicht, Bambie Ransdell, Tiphanie Wainscott, Nichie Alcorn, Dusty Wainscott, Amber Medina, Ashlee Wainscott, Gunnar Wainscott, Katlyn Kershaw, and Shawn Kershaw; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters, LaRue Bissette of North Carolina, and Peggy Fuchs of Sugarland.
