Blake Morrison

Blake Morrison, 95, of Lingleville died Monday, July 26, 2010, in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lanny Spruill and Rev. Joel Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Lowell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Blake was born January 1, 1915, in Comanche County to the late Hardin O. and Josephine Shoemaker Morrison. He married Delilah Ruth Chisum on January 11, 1941 in Lingleville. She preceded him in death May 20, 2006. Blake was discharged from the U. S. Army as a First Lieutenant serving in France during WWII. He was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church, a charter member of the Senior Citizens Softball League in Stephenville, and he was a life long resident of Erath County. Blake was a farmer. Survivors include his daughter, Dannah Procter and husband Larry Bays of Lingleville; two grandsons, Rob and wife Mitzi Procter of Gordon and Jay and wife Shayne Procter of Lingleville; step grandson, Scott Bays of Dublin; great grandchildren, Eric, Laura, Kylah, and Amber Procter. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Lingleville LEAD scholarship fund at Lingleville High School.
