Billy Vest Sr.

Billy Vest, Sr., 62, of Stephenville, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Fort Worth Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Grisham officiating. Burial will follow at Johnsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Billy was born on February 17, 1949 in Waxahachie to the late George and Rachel Raines Vest. He married Scooter Little on September 8, 1984 in Stephenville. Billy was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lancaster, a volunteer fireman and first responder with Erath County, and has lived in Stephenville for the past 27 years; moving to Stephenville from Lancaster. Billy was a professional musician and entertainer, and had spent the past 12 years working for Littleton's body shop. Survivors include his wife, Scooter; two daughters, Malissa and husband Roger Hill of Jonesboro, and Carolyn Vest of Seagoville; son, Billy, Jr. and wife Kim Vest of Stephenville; brothers, Kenneth Vest of Ennis, Gary Vest of Little Elm, and David Vest of Lancaster; sister Pam Odle of Stephenville; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews including, special nephew and niece Eli and Caela Brannon Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Fire and First Responders
