Billy Fred Stafford

Billy Fred Stafford, 80, of Stephenville died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, in Stephenville. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Interment: West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Billy Fred was born July 16, 1928, in Stephenville to the late William Fred and Thelma Mae Middleton Stafford. He married Joy Hamilton on Sept. 6, 1948, in Stephenville. He was a lifelong resident of Stephenville and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a field engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation for over 20 years and served in the Texas National Guard for 25 years. Survivors: Wife, Joy of Stephenville; sons, David Stafford and wife, Cindy, of Stephenville and Kenny Fred Stafford of Sanderson; and grandson, Russell Stafford of Garland.
