Billie N. Engler, 90, of Bluff Dale, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 11th at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Bluff Dale, with Mike Hannah officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, prior to service at Stephenville Funeral Home. Billie was born April 24, 1924 in Stephenville, to Richard and Modenia Mooney Miller. She married Hubert H (Jake) Engler on October 23, 1944. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2000. Billie was a beautician, housewife, and homemaker, plus owned and operated the Bluff Dale store for many years. She was a member of the Bluff Dale Methodist Church and resided in Bluff Dale for the last 30+ years after moving from Houston. Billie is survived by her daughters, Shirley Poole and husband James of Willis, Francis Jacqueline Eaton of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jennifer Bonner and husband Chuck, Danny Shows, Jeff Shows and wife Kim; great-grandchildren, Kadie Hendrickson, Clay Baker, Kinsey Baker, Kacey Shows Smith and husband Derrick, Kelly Shows; great great-grandson, Jaxson Smith; sisters-in-law, Mary Engler, Edna E. Ray; caregiver and niece, Barbara Ray; numerous other nieces and nephews; several cousins including, special cousins Travis and Jean, Joanne and Linda; plus her family and friends at Senior Care. In addition to her parents and husband, Billie was preceded in death by two sisters, Francis Welton and Mary Helen Tapp; her half-brother, Victor Miller; and her nephew. The Engler family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations Bluff Dale VFD.
