Bill Yates

Bill Yates, 79, of Dublin, died Sunday, January 06, 2013 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 8th at Patrick Street Church of Christ in Dublin with Mike Trusty officiating. Burial will follow at New Dublin (Live Oak) Cemetery. Bill was born on January 26, 1933 in Heavener, Oklahoma to the late William and Meda Cranfield Yates. He married Durelle Ware on February 14, 1958 in Clifton, Arizona. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2003. Bill served in the U. S. Navy in the 1950's, was a member of the Patrick Street Church of Christ in Dublin, and has lived in Dublin since 1971; moving here from Arizona. Bill worked several years as a maintenance repairman at Norton Abrasives. Bill is survived by his son, Dan Yates of Stephenville; daughters, Cyndi and husband Dell Barrett of Dublin, and Stacey and husband Brian Johnston of Throckmorton; sister, Viola Leach of Phoeniz, Arizona; grandsons, Arik Yates, Toby Barrett, Tyler Barrett, Clint Johnson, Dane Johnson, and Dathan Johnson; and granddaughter, Baylee Barrett
