Beulamae Goates

Beulamae Goates, 65, of Morgan Mill, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the De Leon Cemetery in De Leon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Beulamae was born on March 1, 1943 in Gorman, Texas to A.A. (Cap) and Minnie Goates. She graduated from De Leon High School in 1961 and was a member of the De Leon First Baptist Church. Beulamae retired in 2000 from Johnson & Johnson after 35 years of service. She has resided in Morgan Mill for the past nine years after previously living in Sherman. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Arnold Spence and husband Bobby of Morgan Mill; grandchildren, Alexandra Spence, and JR Spence; step-grandchildren, Ashton and Brandi Spence of Tolar; sisters, Ethel Owen of De Leon, and Ruth Anderson of Bastrop; brother, Eldon Thane and wife Emily of White Oak; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and A.A. ‘Cap' Goates; and sister, Ruby Lee Goates.
