Betty R. Beard White

Betty R. Beard White, 81, of Huckabay, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Rose Hill, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, October 26, at Huckabay Church of Christ with Gary Williams, officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabay Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Betty was born August 6, 1927 in Breckenridge to the late Amos and Ida Stephens Beard. She was a graduate of Ranger High School, and attended Abilene Christian College. Betty married Bobby Joe White December 4, 1949 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death February 24, 1988. She was a member of the Huckabay Church of Christ, and had lived in Huckabay since 1959. Survivors include her four sons & daughters-in-law, Frank Glenn White of Huckabay, Robert Norman and Jan White of Granbury, Paul Wayne and Trudi White of Spur, Mark Lynn & Toni White of Nutrioso, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Jovita and Gary Helmick of Rose Hill, Kansas; grandchildren, Heidi Elaine Coker, Heather Lashel Sanderson, Brandon Joseph White, Landon Kyle White, Emily Jordan White, Ethen Patrick White, Christopher Adam Helmick, Jenna Kay Helmick, and Glenna Ruth Helmick; great grandchildren, Payden Coker, Colby Coker, Tanson Coker, and a great grandchild to be born soon; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Beard; and two sisters, Madge Jennison and Margaret Berlin Abraham. Memorials may be made to Foster's Home for Children, P. O.
