Betty Faye Walker Simons January 21, 1943-February 19, 2017 Betty Faye Walker Simons, 74, of Stephenville, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22nd at Hico Cemetery in Hico with Harry Brown officiating. Betty Faye was born on January 21, 1943 in Stephenville to the late Charles ‘Sleepy' and Vieta Cox Walker. She graduated from Stephenville High School in 1961 and attended business school. Betty Faye married Darrel Wayne Simons on February 22, 1963 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death May 26, 2000. Betty Faye was a member of the Johnsville Church of Christ, a Home Health aide and care giver, and lived most of her life in the Stephenville Hico area. Survivors include her son, Charles and wife Erin Simons of Burleson; grandchild, Ava O'Banion; sister, Charlene Thurman of Stephenville; Uncle and Aunt, Wiley and Sandra Cox of Stephenville; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Besides her parents, and husband, Betty Faye was also preceded in death by a daughter Darla Gayle Simons; and her mother-in-law, Faye Simons.
