Betty Hamilton Simmons, 77, passed away on August 13, 2019 in Hico, Texas.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas with Paul Kenley officiating. The family will receive visitors at Stephenville Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Betty Hamilton Simmons was born on March 30, 1942 to the late Robert Lee Hamilton and Ila Rachel Bullard Hamilton in Hico, Texas. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Hico and Crane, Texas. She married David Ray Simmons on May 29, 1997 in Hico, Texas. She was a talented painter, loved to cook, enjoyed flower gardening, and cared for her parents. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Betty is survived by her husband, David Ray Simmons; daughters, Kathy Nichols and husband, Dexter, Karen Wheaton and husband, Jeff, Kay McLearen and husband, Kevin, Karol Flores and husband, Ike, Kallie Rudder and husband, Robbie, and Kristy West and husband, Michael; son, Keith Bullard and wife, Norma; sister, Shirley Koerth; brother, Butch Hamilton and wife, Sue; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and furbabies.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Ila Rachel Hamilton; sister, Bonnie Sue Maxwell; son, Kyle Randall Bullard; son-in-law, James Randall Rester; and grandson, Michael Aaron McLearen.
