Betty Lee Olson, 83, of Stephenville, died Sunday, August 09, 2015, in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral Home Betty was born on February 4, 1932 in Caddo County, Oklahoma to the late Joe D. and Lillie Belle Brush McClure. She married Harold Lewis Olson on May 14, 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico. Betty was a charter member, and first president of the Stephenville Business and Professional Women's Assn., and member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church. Betty retired from the Erath County Electric Cooperative (United Cooperative Services) as manager of Financial and Administration. She and H. L. has lived in Stephenville since 1960. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, H. L.; sister, Jean Moore of Stephenville; nieces, Kay Van Sickel of Portland, OR, Donna Olson of Stephenville, and Kathy and husband Tim Sanford of Portales, NM; nephew, Jim and wife Kathy Olson of Sanger; great nieces, Brandy Cherry of Denton, Ashley and husband Tony Titsworth of Dallas, and Rebeca Olson of Fort Worth; great great nieces, Landry and Lawson Titsworth of Dallas; and great great nephews, J. D. Cherry of Fort Campbell, KY, Noah Cherry of Denton, and Parker Titsworth of Dallas; and sisters-in-law, Madie Dansbee of Hamilton and Tillie Shaw of Clovis, NM. The Olson family wishes expression of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Alzheimers Assn., Foster's Home for Children in Stephenville, or to the charity of their choice.
