Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. Betty Jean was born to Hobson Robert (H.R.) and Annie Lucille (Taylor) Trammell on September 25, 1931 in Lone Camp, Texas in Palo Pinto County and moved to Stephenville as a young teen. She attended Stephenville High School and graduated in 1950. Betty married the love of her life, Horace Lee Huston, in Stephenville, Texas on May 30, 1950. While Lee was in the service, they lived in San Francisco, CA., before moving to Fort Worth and then Irving to raise their family. After the death of the love of her life, she retired and then moved to Granbury in 2004. Betty always wore a smile and had the heart of servant; anyone who knew her knew that she was a woman of humility. While raising her two boys, Betty served as a lab technician at Southwest Medical Laboratories; she retired after 30 years of service. After retirement, Betty enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and traveling with close friends and family. She thoroughly enjoyed listening to gospel music, loved nightly get togethers with neighbors playing various card and domino games and sharing that love with her grandkids, cooking up whatever meal was requested and searching for shells on the coast of Florida. Betty was a member of the Oak View Baptist Church in Irving attending over 34 years and later a member of the Granbury Baptist Church in Granbury. Survivors include sons, Gary Huston and wife Terri of Haslet; Randy Huston and wife DeLana of Stephenville; grandson Justun Huston and wife Kristin of Hayden, CO; granddaughters Tabatha Gove and husband Shane of Fort Worth; Melissa Huston and Hunter Huston of Stephenville; Sabrina Huston of Cleburne; great-grandchildren MacKenzie and husband Caleb Hornbeck; Brayden Gove; Codey and Maci Huston; and Amelia and Edwin Gove; brothers Jim Trammell and wife Pauline of Weatherford; David Trammell and wife Bernice of Granbury; sister-in-law Mary Trammell of Stephenville; numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong, dear friends Jack and Jerry Holt of Granbury. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hobson and Lucille Trammell; beloved husband Horace Lee Huston; sisters Lela Ruth Trammell and Dorothy Trammell Comer; brother Frederick Wayne Trammell and great-grandson Dale Wayne Reeves.
