Betty Jean Bailey

Betty Jean Bramlett Bailey of Stephenville passed away January 16, 2014. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with William Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow at The Glenn Cemetery, Bluff Dale, TX. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Betty was born February 14, 1930 in Bluff Dale, TX to the late Louis Fletcher and Ella Rose Johnson Bramlett. She was married to the late Emmett E. Bailey on April 1, 1961; they had no children. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bus, Lewis, Odell, Morrie and her sister, Mary Louise. Betty grew up in Bluff Dale, and graduated from Stephenville High School. She then moved to the Fort Worth area and retired from General Dynamics/Lockheed after 36 years of service. In the past few years her time was spent working in her yard and playing bluegrass music. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Stephenville. Betty is survived by a brother, Jim Bramlett of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Annabelle Bramlett of Stephenville; nieces and nephews, William Bramlett, Charlotte Mayall, Shirley Anderson, Barbara Jones, Danny Bramlett, Joyce Smith, Helen Nichols, Linda Burkett and Jim Bramlett Jr.
